"Even during the initial certification in 2022, we realized that many aspects that make up a family-friendly company are a matter of course for us. We are proud that we have even been able to expand our offerings and achieve new goals since then," says HR Manager Annalena Moll-Göbel, summarizing the certification process. It's not just about the balance between life and work when family planning events occur, but also about personal and quick help with sensitive issues such as advice on caring for relatives. Moll-Göbel even recently trained as a company care guide for this purpose. Internal communication and easy access to relevant information are also an issue, as is the promotion of a diverse and inclusive working environment.
Focus on employees: individual solutions and benefits
The employees and their individual issues are at the forefront of the company's efforts and all levers are always set in motion to find solutions. The management at Bikar clearly sees this as a unique selling point as an employer and would also like to use this to recruit new employees: “We naturally want to communicate all these benefits and individual solutions to the outside world beyond our workforce and are all the more pleased that this certification is a further step in this direction!”
BIKAR METALLE: A company with tradition and a future
BIKAR METALLE is one of the world's leading companies in the trade of aluminum, copper, brass, gunmetal, bronze, special alloys and plastics. The company currently employs around 800 people at various locations in Switzerland and abroad. Despite the enormous increase in the number of employees and the advancing internationalization, it is still a matter of course and a matter of the heart for the management and its management team to be more than just an employer for everyone.
